This new Southern California hotel, operated by Joie de Vivre/Hyatt, takes pride of place as an ocean-front sanctuary with a relaxed and creative vibe. The design is laid-back California modern with a comfortable, residential feel. Organic textures and natural materials feel right at home in the salty sea air. 

The indoor-outdoor lobby and event-salons anchor the garden level, creating a free flowing sense of community. The rooftop takes advantage of height and vista to offer a complementary social hub, inspired by the soul of California surf culture. Our guestroom design–featuring an innovative, vanishing, double corner door at the bathroom and residential-scaled furnishings–creates a surprising sense of spaciousness. This simply doesn’t feel like a hotel room at all.
