Coastal Eatery Fish Hawk Opens at Virginia’s Tides Inn

The Tides Inn announces the debut of its newest dining concept, Fish Hawk, designed by EDG Design of San Francisco Bay Area. This waterfront eatery immerses guests in Virginia’s rich coastal culinary tradition and showcases the bounty of the surrounding Chesapeake Bay and Rappahannock River. Offering guests an authentic gastronomic experience, the restaurant features an indoor raw bar, seafood classics, live shucking, and a daily Chesapeake Bay Boil. Fish Hawk warmly welcomes locals and visitors to enjoy a taste of the region’s finest fare in a casual, lively atmosphere complemented by weekly entertainment and panoramic views of Carter’s Creek.

EDG refreshed a tired poolside restaurant into an upbeat coastal eatery. Named after the native Osprey bird of the Chesapeake Bay, Fish Hawk exudes an easy fish shack vibe keeping with the laidback ethos of the coastal enclave of Irvington, Virginia. The brand identity gleaned inspiration from classic East Coast seafood shacks with a modern twist. The retro-modern concept comes through with fresh and playful graphics, bold typography, and bright pops of color paired with vintage nautical elements.
