EDG wins best hotel restaurant design for Kollazs.

Kollazs Brasserie and bar and EDG Design has won Best Restaurant Design at the European Hotel Design Awards. The European Hotel Design Awards celebrate exceptional hotel design and architecture, honoring the work of industry leading architects and designers, and the projects they create. The awards acknowledge creativity, innovation and excellence.

Projects are judged by a panel of industry experts representing the various disciplines involved in hotel design.
The judges found the project to be "right restaurant in the right space for the right hotel" ultimately shaping the win for EDG.

The design of Kollazs was inspired by the glamour of Budapest and activates the world renowned Gresham Palace with a culinary point of view. The Kitchen is highly interactive with cooking, prepping and service on display- inviting guests to be a part of the food experience. Bakery, Rotisserie and Grill elements are detailed with care and the central bar is the latest watering hole in this signature city.

The Gresham Palace sets the stage with its storied Art Nouveau architecture, and Kollazs Brasserie and Bar provides a contemporary brasserie experience which is open to the street with a sidewalk café. Kollazs is Hungarian for “Collage”, and the food and ambiance take inspiration from this creative concept.
